Greg Waters

I taught Greg Waters at The Royal Military School of Music where he was an exceptional student and completed his training with distinction. In my opinion he has the potential to become a very fine trumpet player and musician. I have no hesitation in recommending him for any such employment opportunities that may arise.

Having worked with Greg Waters on a short recital programme recently, as an accompanist I have been impressed with his work ethic, attention to detail and determination to understand the whole piece of music, including the accompaniment, and to discuss the interpretation he wants. It is always a pleasure to work with someone who puts the importance of getting the music right, historically, contextually and interpretatively, ahead of any sense of ego in performance. From my perspective, Greg’s concentration on the music at all times made rehearsing very easy and the performance, a pleasure.
