What do your clients love most about your performances?
My clients love the diversity I am able to bring to my performances specifically in our duo where one song will have guitar flute vocals and the next saxophone and piano. It sends the audience on a journey and keeps the set interesting no matter how long we play for. It is rare to get such sonic diversity within a duo.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have performed at many venues around the UK most recently malvern Gin Festival but also Sunshine Festival, Esteemed Jazz restaurant the Daffodil and many many many pubs bars and restaurants.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Ive grown up listening to such a variety of music, my dad has been a massive musical influence in my life and although I don't sound like a typical Jazz singer listening to musicians such as Amy Winehouse, Ella fitzgerald and Jacob Collier have definitely helped shape my voice. I also stylistically love Sam Fender and Lizzy Mcalpine.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our main line up is our Duo line up, which sees me on vocals, guitar and occasionally piano, and my duo partner on saxophone, flute or piano, we tend to swap and mix things up throughout the performance. I can also do solo performances this would be just female vocals and guitar.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
I do my absolute best to make sure that music is the one thing you won't have to worry about when it comes to your event. If timings change in the run up to an event let me know and I will do my best to make sure everything runs smoothly and accommodate this.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
This is a very popular request and I am more than happy to provide music in the run up and in-between my performances. Just let us know you would like this before the event as it may change our PA setup slightly.
How much time do you need to set up?
For my Solo performances I usually set up around 45 minutes before the event. As a duo we usually set up an hour or more before the event due to having more instruments and PA to soundcheck.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
My set list has been carefully crafted from countless performances and learning what works best for certain events. However if there are certain songs you like or dislike from the setlist I am happy to accommodate your preferences.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
All PA and lighting is included within our quote, our PA has been used to play to 300+ guests so you can rest assure our PA will reach your audience. If you give us estimated audience numbers and venue details we can alter our PA to make it suitable to your venue.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
If the song isn't on my setlist there is a possibility I already know it as I did not include every single song on the setlist. If there is a special song you want me to learn providing I am given enough time before the event I am more than happy to do so!
