As well as releasing her own pop and commercial house music, this upcoming artist has a growing collection of 'Acoustic Covers' that have featured on ITV's Love Island and taken her all over the UK and overseas to perform at weddings. Away from the recording studio, GG continues to play solo live shows, a trade she's been working at since the age of 14. Amazing Grace Lord Kitchener, New Barnet on Saturday 2 December 2023 Now here's a real talent, a young woman who could make it all the way to the top. Grace George is a gifted artist who creates her own material but can equally add a magic sparkle to well-known songs. The St Albans-based singer-songwriter brought her classy act to the Lord Kitchener pub in Barnet, her first performance at this lovely venue. And the punters loved her. What makes her act so unusual is that she is one of the very few performers on the pub and club circuit to make use of a pedal loop station. This enables Grace, through use of pedals, to build up layers of sound so she can effectively accompany her own vocals and add on layers of guitar. Grace is obviously proud of this special musical equipment and even explained and demonstrated it to pubgoers, showing exactly how it all worked. For this pre-Christmas show Grace's one-woman band presented a mix of pop, rock, and r & b, together with some seasonal favourites. She is blessed with a lovely tuneful voice, slightly quirky at times, and I believe she has tremendous potential. Her bubbly personality is infectious too. Classic rock songs like Fleetwood Mac's Dreams and Bryan Adams'; Summer Of '69 were mixed in with modern tunes including Taylor Swift's Anti-Hero (Grace is a big fan of Taylor's), Maroon 5's catchy Girls Like You and Miley Cyrus' number one hit Flowers. Grace performed also some Christmas favourites and demonstrated what a pure, plaintive voice she has. I loved her interpretation of A Fairytale Of New York. It was impressive too that Grace acts her way through many of the songs bringing them to life. Grace George has been streamed more than 20 million times on Spotify in just three years. What a performance! Grace interacted with the audience and really captured what our festival was about (Happiness, Bringing people together and Fun). The audience were captivated by her performance and the ease at which she created a marvellous sound totally on her own was memorising. I would recommend following and making an effort to see Grace perform. You will not be disappointed.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My ability to entertain! The reason I started live looping is because I'm not a performer who likes to stand still with my guitar. My loop station gives me the ability to create the backing (live and in front of you with my guitar) and then put the guitar down and dance around the stage! I like to give every audience the performance of my life!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I’ve been playing all over the UK from a very young age, but one of the furthest venues from home for me was in Houston, Texas! I got flown out to America to play for softball celebrity Amanda Scarborough’s Wedding!!! It was absolutely magical to travel around Texas and meet so many amazing people!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Ed Sheeran and KT Tunstall have been huge influences to my live looping. I also love Taylor Swift's ability to captivate a crowd, something I always try and do.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I got to play for over 6000 people at Hertfordshire Oktoberfest!!! (Oct2024) I had the best time.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I know organising events can be stressful so I always try my best to be as flexible as possible to help ensure your event runs smoothly. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know as soon as possible and I will do my best to accommodate the change.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via my PA after the final set until the venue closes, I can provide this (see my price list for more details).

How much time do you need to set up?

I like to leave 1 to 1.5 hours to set up and make sure I've sound checked as every venue has different acoustics. As soon as sound check is done I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

With over 16 years of gigging experience, I know how to craft a set list to keep the audience engaged and having fun. I also ensure the energy builds appropriately so that people stay up dancing (if appropriate for the event). However, I'm always happy for you to tell me the songs you would love to hear from my repertoire and of course you can VETO others!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring a full PA system along with my guitar, loop station and microphones. I always have a spare microphone should you wish to use it to make any announcements or speeches.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If you have a specific song you'd like to hear on your special day, please let me know and I can learn it for you. There will be an additional charge of £65 for this to cover my time arranging and learning the song. Of course if I know the song already and it's in my repertoire, there will be no additional charge for this service.
