I am a professional Guitarist/Vocalist, Session musician,Entertainer and Music Producer and Songwriter. I have an established one man show and a 2 piece band featuring live drums called Ritz. I regularly can be seen playing session guitar on Sky TV 2 times weekly on a Wednesday night at 11.00 and then a repeat show on friday at 11am on Sky Tv's 'Keep It Country' Channel 389 , on 'The Janey Kirk Show' in the session band which is recorded live at Dundee's Caird Hall. I have also appeared on a Sky TV with my solo act and the video can be found on this page. I have many years experience in the business playing gigs and venues of all types and to all types and age groups of audience and have a reptoire that ensures everyone can find something to suit in my show. I play and sing all styles of music including , Pop, Rock, Country, Rock, Jazz Blues, Rockn Roll, Ballads, Folk, Traditional and instrumentals. I work with and without backing tracks and also have an accoustic set. Ritz 2 piece band is aimed at functions , corporate events and clubs and hotels and we cover all styles of music including Scottish Traditional dancing for weddings. All fees are negotiable based on gig type and location. I look forward to hearing from you.

Outstanding , talented singer & guitarist

The best act we have had in our venue and the best New years Eve show we have had in Styx nightclub, and lounge bar. The variety of music performed and sung and the quality of musicianship was unlike anything we have seen. As a function 2 piece band Ritz sounded like a 5 piece band. Gordons abilty to read the crowd and supply a range of music covering all tastes was perfect, and created a great audience response all evening. Its also the first time we havent had any volume problems with an act or band. The inclusion of live drums as a 2 piece band was really different and makes a different impact. The Traditional Scottish music dances and big band numbers had the real feel with the live drums. We booked them immediately for new Year 2018 at the end of the night.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Not a problem just let me know and I will adapt to suit the new requirement

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes , there is music playing as required , either background or dance type music to keep an event bouncing along

How much time do you need to set up?

For most gigs I need 45 minutes to set up the equipment and check everything is working etc

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I will play requests but wont do an audience based on demand type set list

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I use state of art equipment which includes a guitar rig and Bose PA system with monitors/ foldback and digital based PA desk.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes providing its not same day. so simply send me amp3 of the music track and I will learn it to perform at your event. It may require production of a backing track so at least 3 weeks notice is needed in order to put that together. Due to the work involved in creating a backing track from start I have to limit this to only 1 song

I appear on Sky TV weekly on a show that is recorded at Dundees Caird Hall . I have appeared on a number of live radio shows in Scotland playing an accoustic set and I have worked with many many top names in the music business as an act and as a musician on guitar. Its never about profile its all about doing a pro job gig by gig
