What do your clients love most about your performances?

Glamstar are quite unique as they are a tribute to many artists from the glam rock era, making them more appealing to a much wider audience. 
It takes people back to their youth and makes them feel the way they did when they first heard and loved the songs

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Accepted Answer

Glamstar regularly sell out the Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst, Kent, also they are regulars at The Boom Boom club in Sutton, The Cavern in Raynes Park, The Hampton Hub Club in Hampton, Langley Performance Hall in Beckenham and also more recently at The Cryer Arts centre in Carshalton, Surrey.
Glamstar also appear at many summer festivals.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Glamstar pay tribute to all the big names from the glam rock era, T Rex, Sweet, David Bowie, Queen, Suzi Quatro, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Mud, Roxy Music, Mott the Hoople plus many more

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Aside from the great festivals Glamstar have appeared at playing to many hundreds of people, I would say the Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst is their best gig, as it's close to home for the band but also hosts some very prestigious touring artists.

Question 5

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the singer as seen in the videos will always be performing with the band. 
We do also have regular dep musicians that can stand in for unavailable band members, although we try to avoid this where humanly possible.

Do you have different line-up options?

Accepted Answer

We usually perform as a 5 piece band, with 2 guitars, bass, keyboards, drums and 3 vocalists, but we can also perform as a 4 piece band, with either 2 guitars or 1 guitar and keyboards plus bass and drums.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Accepted Answer

We're fully aware that event circumstances and running orders change at short notice, so we can be totally flexible on timings.

Question 8

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Accepted Answer

Yes, no problem.
We have several playlists that we can put on before, between and even after sets.
You can also provide us with a specific playlist on a device, which we would be happy to play through our system.

Question 9

How much time do you need to set up?

Accepted Answer

We like to get set up early and dependent on the type of event, this could alter the length of set up time.
For instance weddings or certain corporate events require us to set up earlier in the day, then return in the evening to perform.
We like to allow at least 2 hours to set up before a performance, or the arrival of guests, whichever is earliest.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We do have a lot of experience of what works with regard to our set list, and we know what gets people up on their feet, so usually we engineer the sets to suit, but of course if you have any specific requests, we can cater for that.

Question 11

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all our equipment is included, but that would depend on the size of the venue and the location, for instance if it were a huge venue or an outdoor festival, then additional PA and lighting hire would be necessary.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Accepted Answer

We get asked this question a lot and yes, within reason we can learn 2 or 3 new songs, as long as it's within our capabilities.
We've never not been able to learn a specific song to date, and we welcome the challenge.
Obviously we need plenty of time to do this, so as much notice as possible is required.
