Giulia Marelli born in 1988, is a singer-songwriter from Brescia (Italy), currently resident in London. A versatile and powerful singer, with a magnetic stage presence. She studies vocals technique with the Elisa Rovida who introduces her to the Jazz world. She continues her studies at the Civic Jazz Courses in Milan with teachers like of Tiziana Ghiglioni and Franco Cerri. Her professional career began as a backing vocalist with Rifondazione Sklero, with which she stomp all the most important stages of the Brescia scene, from Piazza Loggia to the stands of Radio Onda d'Urto. Since 2010 she has been active in the duo Paolo & Giulia with her brother guitarist Paolo Marelli also resident in London. In addition, she has participated in multiple projects with local musicians such as Isaia Mori and members of the Jazzteambrescia association, as well as a backing vocalist for the Bresciana singer L’Aura. During her years in Italy Giulia continues her musical growth by participating in Jazz workshops, where she comes into contact with the pianist Massimo Faraò with whom she collaborates between studio recordings and live events with internationally renowned guests. She moved to London in 2014 in search of a stable career in the world of music. During the early years Giulia made herself known in the underground scene of the English capital by participating in Jam sessions and presenting her personal evening “Acoustic Nomads Jazz Jam” at the “Orleans Wine Bar” in Finsbury Park. The real change of life as a professional musician only takes place in June 2016, when Giulia decides to leave her stable job and try her luck on the streets of London. Performing as a street musician opens up new and incredible job opportunities that allow her to earn a living focusing only on music. She thus gets in touch with some of the most important London musicians, with whom she then collaborates on various projects, including "Aaron and the Argonauts" (original music project by Aaron Liddard, saxophonist by Amy Winehouse and Prince) of which she is the singer main, the big band “Swing Punks” and the collective of the “Triple Jam Sandwich” with whom she plays monthly at the renowned Jazz club in central London, Ronnie Scott's. She has residency around London such as at Trader Vic's, Hilton Hotel Bankside, Boisdale restourants, Be at One cocktail bar, Design Distric Canteen, and weekly residency at O'Neills Wardour St. SOHO.
