We hired Ginger for our annual corporate event and really can't recommend her highly enough.. We needed music on arrival that was accessible to all our guests of many different ages and musical tastes.. We opted for background soul and jazz with a big party at the end for those who wanted to stay. It was lovely to see our staff and customers welcomed with toe taping swinging jazz from a four piece band on arrival which morphed into a more soulful background sound as our guests gathered and talked and ate We didn't need to tell the band to do this they reacted to what was needed at the time. The finale was great as Ginger pulled together a nine piece band which played upbeat swing and then soul and disco. I really didn't expect our guests to dance but they did..all night. If you book her make sure she sings Proud Mary and your camera is ready. She is a class act with an amazing voice and a wonderful (retractable) stage presence. She was attentive and patient and helped me deliver an event that I am still receiving a lot of praise for. Everything I asked for she was able to deliver, from the wide ranging music choice, pick of the best musicians (they were fabulous). She even helped with the auction. I have booked for next year.

Ginger played our corporate event with a full 18 piece big band. It was great.. no it was fantastic.. She arranged for her Trio Three to play for guests arrivals. An amazing mixture of traditional jazz and modern jazzed numbers Gregory Porter and Nina Simone all arranged beautifully for the guests to take notice or not as they mingled and talked. The Big Band was Fabulous - Ginger had our corporate international guests talking and laughing in minutes during the black tie ball. The band played a selection of swing, jazz and jive plus big band versions of Chakka Khan, I feel for you, Earth Wind and Fire, September and Aretha Franklin, Think plus more and more soul and disco.. And as if that wasn't enough her band broke down to a six piece Project F with sax and keys for the after party for a full funk and disco party until midnight. I don't know how she did it but they are booked for next year and the year after.. Brilliant vocals and appropriate rising energy for the entire evening.. I can't recommend highly enough

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Life changes.. so we can usually flex to accommodate.. just let me know when things change as soon as you can

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We are more than happy to play your favourite tunes or genre through our PA during breaks, as soon as the PA is up or during take down. Let us have your playlist and we will happily plug in your device.. Do let us know if you need the PA until the venue closes as there is usually an additional charge for this of around £100

How much time do you need to set up?

As a duo or trio it will take c. 1 hour to set up and sound check. I also perform with funk soul and little big band outfits.. Funk and Soul six piece - 1.5 hours Nine piece Soul and Swing 2 hours

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course.. pick your favourite song and we will make sure it is included. I do find it is a good idea to let us craft the set list to fit your event be it dancing, attentive listening or background music. I have worked with the musicians I use for years.. so our song list is long and wide... it means we can be flexible on the night.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I bring my own PA and sound equipment for any accompanying musicians.. If your venue is outdoors or very big it is always a good idea to discuss sound and lighting during the booking process

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included I am happy to learn it for you. There is always a chance that I know it anyway! There is a fee of £40 for this per musician to take into account 1 hour of learning/ rehearsal time.
