I started playing piano aged 5 and have always had an exceptional ear for music and have an extensive lists of songs ready to play. I have played for parties, restaurants, weddings and funerals. I have played lounge piano in many venues in the Hampshire area over the past 30 years. I was resident pianist at the Watermark restaurant ,Port Solent for four years and 8 Kings road restaurant for two years . I play in a variety of styles specialising in jazz, blues and swing and light classics. I am a competent sightnreader attaining grade 8 abrsm. I have all my own equipment and p.a. System. I play a huge repertoire of music by ear to a high standard. I have taught piano at Portsmouth music academy for the past 10 years and currently have around 20 students of all ages. I am currently in the jazz band ‘Indigo Sky with singer Laura Batacelli and form a jazz duo with my son who is a professional guitarist. We have played at many venues around the area with good reviews. I have played in a local wine bar with my son and at Portsmouth guildhall . I am happy to join other instrumentalists and accompany singers. I can take any requests I am willing to travel within a 100 mile radius.

Gina was great; we wanted a pianist to play background jazz at our party and Gina did a great job. She was easy to communicate with before the event and at the party itself, her music was great and she was really good with the kids who were interested in her playing too. I would recommend hiring Gina for your event! 😊

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My ability to play requests accurately and my interpretations of well known songs . Able to produce very relaxing sound with beautiful arrangements

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Rosie’s vineyard, Southsea, Four years residency at the Water mark restaurant and two years at 8 kings road restaurant. Played regularily for many weddings, funerals and other events. Accompanied my son as a jazz duo and am pianist in a jazz and pop band

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Oscar Peterson, Stevie Wonder, Burt Bacharach Aretha Franklin.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Performed at prestigious hotels in Surrey .

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I would be very flexible about change of timings. Just let me know in the run up to the event

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

How much time do you need to set up?

I can set up in 30 minutes but plan to arrive an hour before the event

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

I am happy to play any piano provided it is reasonable standard and in tune

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I am happy to play requests . Let me know your requirements at least a week before the event

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

I have my own good standard digital keyboard and amp.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

I am more than happy to learn requests before the event. Learning new songs may incur further charges depending on complexity and rehearsal time
