She subsequently undertook the Continuing Education Repetiteur course at RCS.

We couldn’t have been more thrilled that we booked Gina for our wedding! Every step of the way in the run up to the day she was so helpful, made suggestions when asked and took on all plan changes and extra requests with no hesitation. Not only did she play the hymns, entrance and exit music that we requested, but she also played a duet with our trumpeter and accompanied a choir seamlessly. All of her playing was absolutely fabulous, even though she was playing on a very old wobbly organ that she didn’t get to practice on until the day, it was outstanding. We were also very delayed in the ceremony start time due to traffic issues on the day (about an hour), but Gina continued to play arrival music for this time for guests, which was so kind and we really appreciated. We are so grateful to Gina, our ceremony was so special and wouldn’t have been what it was without her. I would absolutely recommend Gina to anyone looking for a professional and incredible musician for any occasion!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I like to share my love of perfoming with the listeners and I work hard to create the right atmosphere for any event.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I'm very fortunate to have performed in lots of venues across Scotland and further afield. Venues include Balmoral Hotel (Edinburgh), Usher Hall (Edinburgh), Queens Hall (Edinburgh), Perth Concert Hall, Glasgow City Halls, Salzburg Cathedral.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I love listening to lots of different performers and playing music covering a range of genres. When it comes to classical music, the great Alfred Brendel is my top inspiration. My love for jazz is hugely inspired by the great jazz musicians Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong, while Aly Bain/Phil Cunningham influence my folk music arrangements.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

I have played on the closing credits of BBC’s Landward live from the Royal Highland Show, Edinburgh. I performed at the Dunfermline Rotary Club’s Centenary at the Balmoral, Edinburgh. I have also performed in all the large concert halls in Scotland with the National Youth Choir of Scotland.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Don't worry. I try to be as flexible as possible with clients so get in touch and we can discuss any changes.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This isn't usually relevant to the kind of performances I provide.

How much time do you need to set up?

If bringing my own equipment, 20-30 minutes before the event start is plenty.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Absolutely - as long as you can confirm it is in good working order!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I'm always happy to discuss all music choices with the clients so they have the best experience.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

I can provide my own electric piano if there is not one available.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Of course, I am happy to take requests of particular music for your event. If I don't have a copy available or I need to arrange it for piano, there will be a small surcharge of £25 to cover the additional cost and time involved.
