About Gigliola

Experienced professional female guitarist based in the UK!
Electric Guitarist
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Born in Chile, Gigliola began playing guitar at a young age, inspired by seeing her father play guitar and music records whenever he was at home. Having learned the basics from her father, she joined the folklore group at her school and performed with them regularly. She carried on teaching herself how to play by listening to her favourite music and once she moved to Italy with her family in her teenage years, she started playing and performing with classic rock bands. After graduating from her school in Italy, Gigliola wanted to take her passion and talent for music to a professional level. She moved to England in 2010 to study at The Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) in Guildford where she studied advanced guitar techniques in different genres and styles, performance skills, songwriting, music theory and music business. She had the honor of studying under great guitarists such as Michael Casswell, Pete Friesen, Pete Roth and Carl Orr who have worked and performed with some of the finest musicians in the world. During and after her time at the ACM, she joined and formed original bands to develop her passion for writing music as well as teaching guitar to private students and in schools. Gigliola performs regularly at corporate events, weddings, festivals and pubs, providing professional entertainment with her function and original bands.

Now that we have returned from our honeymoon, we just wanted to send you a note to say how absolutely fantastic we thought the Soultanas were at our wedding on 10 August. Thank you so much to you and all of the band for an overall fantastic performance. In particular, our first dance song was absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for learning this, we thought it suited the band perfectly. We had many comments from our guests and even the caterers to say how impressed they were with the Soultanas and we are so pleased that you were our wedding band - we would not hesitate to recommend you! Also, it has been a real pleasure to work with you over the past few months and we have been really impressed at how professional and personable you have been.
