Iconic vintage vocals with a fresh and modern edge supported by a phenomenal sound delivered by The Vintage Youth

Georgia is just 23 years of age! ....."Essex Girl with a big voice, big blonde hair and a cool little jazz band called The Vintage Youth"...according to her BBC Introducing profile. Her retro jazz/swing style of music is both vintage and fresh, hence the name of the band. It's contagious and subconsciously gets you tapping your feet (think Jools Holland or Paolo Nutini) whilst her ballads are stripped back allowing Georgia's strong and iconic vocal to take you somewhere inside yourself and make the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end (think Adele or Amy Winehouse). Georgia hasn't been on the music scene for very long since performing live at the NEC Birmingham (UK) and gaining 2nd place ahead of 9000 other hopefuls in July 2015. Her solo and acoustic rendition of a re-written Rodgers & Hammerstein piece "My Favourite Things" during that final was awesome and inspiringly memorable. Since then she has virtually written her first album, released her debut EP "The Girl" and follow up EP "El Reco" which featured Neville Staple (The Specials) on iTunes and Spotify, which has been played on BBC radio 2. In November 2015 her debut single obtained her Westfield/Senheisser artist of the month. Georgia and her band are now beginning to gig regularly on the London scene since being played regularly on BBC Radio. (BBC Radio 2 BBC London, Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and many more including BBC Wales.) The future looks incredibly bright for Georgia with appearances on Vintage TV (Virgin 343, Sky 369, Freeview 82) for their Christmas sessions special Dec 2017. A 3rd EP which was produced by Mo Pleasure (Earth Wind & Fire, MD for Bette Midler) released in early 2018 gained BBC Radio Cornwall's coveted, 'Record of the week'. In 2019 Georgia completed a 52 date UK tour culminating with a sell out performance at The Royal Albert Hall.

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, although other band members may vary depending on availability and line up.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes. I'd suggest a minimum optimum line up of 3. Bigger line ups for bigger stage and sound requirements can be up to 10.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are flexible on set times, providing we have notice. The band will not normally perform longer than a couple of hours and costs cannot be renegotiated if the set time is reduced through no fault of the artist

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can. Although additional DJ service after the last set will be charged at an hourly rate of £100/hour

How much time do you need to set up?

About an hour from load in. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event. ”

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 4m by 3m space to perform as trio.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £50 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.

“The evening enjoyed lively entertainment by ...............talented singer Georgia Crandon.”

Naomi S, 3 years ago

“PIXIE LOTT has backed a singer with an "incredible voice" for stardom. She described 21- year old Essex - born musician Georgia Crandon as "refreshingly different". Lott 26 ...said, "Georgia effortlessly blends the genres in a retro jazz or swing style, then throws in some reggae and ska. And where did that voice come form?"”
