George started his piper hire business in 2006 after an active solo competitive career and a 7 year stint with the former Strathclyde Police Pipe Band winning the Grade One British Championships as well numerous top 5 placings at all the other major championships. He has piped at the Stade de France, in various countries including Russia, Djakarta, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, USA. He has a wealth of experience contributing to many happy weddings.

Thanks you so much for your amazing piping at my sister Michelles wedding on Friday 28th June. George kept in regular contact with us leading up to the big day it was lovely to hear the music played whilst getting ready and for the guests arrival The piper was so friendly and everyone remarked on how lovely it was to see and hear him. I would definitely book from here again as the service provided and the prices exceeded my expectations

How much time do you need to set up?

5-10 minutes

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes indeed. I specialise in tradition Scottish bagpipe music. If a tune can't be played on our 9 note scale then I will be honest and say so.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

Again, if pieces can't be played satisfactorily I'll be honest and say so.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My professionalism and attention to detail. I like to make sure my instrument is as in tune as possible at all times.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

My most notable venue has been the Stade de France many years ago. Over the past 20 years I have played at many notable wedding venues throughout Scotland.
