George is a pianist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music (RAM) with William Fong, having previously studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with Richard McMahon and Benjamin Frith of the Gould Piano Trio. George was the winner of the 2016 Eric Hodges Beethoven Sonata Prize at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, which led to him compete in the Intercollegiate Beethoven Competition, where he given a special mention for his playing. In summer 2017, George was a finalist in the prestigious Ian Stoutzker Prize, performing in the Dora Stoutzker Hall. George also performed his concerto debut in the Dora Stoutzker Hall in 2015 performing Grieg’s Piano Concerto, with conductor Tianyi Lui. Highlights of the 2016-2017 season include performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, with the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Wales with conductor Pete Harrison and also with David Jones as part of the Ian Stoutzker Final. George also performed in a masterclass with Benjamin Frith as part of the annual Penarth Chamber Music Festival.
