Gavin Mungersdorf

Gavin is an incredible versatile player who demonstrates an excellent understanding of a variety of genres from pop, jazz through to funk. He also has a great ability to improvise live on stage providing the audiences with electric solos while feeling the groove and being one with the band. He is a brilliant addition to our band.

Gavin is a great collaborator, performer and musician. As someone who has performed with him on multiple occasions, I can vouch for the fact that he always brings energy and dedication to the performance, performing his parts flawlessly, on top of moving energetically and generally inspiring the crowd to engage with the music. His improvisational work is exceptional, exploring ideas that tie in with the musical context and yet originally every time. As a band leader I have also had the opportunity to witness his work within rehearsal spaces and his use of time in them. He is an excellent contributor to the rehearsal process, unafraid to speak up and suggest ideas to help push the project forward. The energy he provides on stage is evident in rehearsal spaces as well, bringing a positive attitude to each run session and maintaining it through countless run throughs.
