Matt Palmer (saxophones, clarinet & vocals) and Jo Nutman (piano) have both spent many years collectively and individually performing with some of the UK’s leading jazz bands both as band members and band leaders, they now collaborate to celebrate their mutual passion for the music of the 1920’s and 1930’s and their desire to share this with partygoers and music-lovers alike. This era was known as the “Jazz Age” when there was such a rich heritage of great compositions known as “The Great American Song Book” which provided a musical backdrop to much frivolity and partying. The Gatsby Go-Getters recreate these golden sounds to evoke the good times of an earlier era. The band is available in various sizes and formations from a duo to a five-peice tailored specifically to your event and venue. Aside from the glitz and razzmatazz of the “Gatsby Era” the Gatsby Go-Getters are equally at home in more subdued mode for a dinner jazz set either as a stand-alone performance or as a prelude to the main event, We can also provide disco entertainment for those wishing to party into the early hours. Dear Matt and all of you other wonderful gentlemen who made mom’s surprise 80th birthday party so memorable last Saturday, This is to express our enormous thanks for the wonderful music that you provided. Our only regret is that you could’t play for longer; partly because of all of our interruptions! Thank you so much for your understanding and for your willingness to work around us and ad-lib where necessary We can only hope that we will get another opportunity to see you play in the future without the interruptions. Suffice to say, the complements have been coming thick and fast and we can say with confidence that the party was a resounding success; not least because of your fabulous input. We hope that you managed to enjoy yourselves in between entertaining us all.

We just wanted to say a big thank you to all of you for doing such a grand job when you played at our wedding in June at Grafton Manor. You were friendly, brilliant to listen to and you even managed to dress in green which matched our wedding colour! We knew that a jazz version of the Wedding March would work well but hearing you play this as Sam walked down the aisle was just magic! It was a real surprise for our guests’ it set a fun and lively tone for the day and will be memory that will stay with us forever. We are looking forward to re-living the experience when we get the wedding DVD.Although we missed a lot of your performance on the lawn(as we were having our photos taken), we know that our guests were thoroughly impressed with you on the day and enjoyed the jazz.
