What do your clients love most about your performances?
Clients love our attention to detail, our varied and fun sets, which never fails to fill the dance floor! We have a good handle on the original 20's and 'postmodern' music that really sets the tone, plus we know how to move into the more typical/contemporary music. Exactly what our clients want!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We've performed in many luxury hotels including Cliveden House, Moor Halll, Peckforton Castle, and The Belfry, as well as lots of wedding venues all over the country, and private homes.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Scott Bradlee is a huge inspiration with the way that he and his groups have injected life into a genre, and beautifully reimagined contemporary songs with an old-time twist to appeal to a wider audience. I'm also a big fan of the likes of Nile Rodgers, Bruno Mars, Mark Robson, and John Mayer.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
I've performed on TV multiple times (BBC One Show, Channel 4's The Last Leg), as well as live on local radio in a hot air balloon!
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
No problem! Let us and know and it's highly likely it will be perfectly fine. Any significant changes may incur additional cost, but we are always aware that timings can be slightly fluid on the big day!
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Absolutely. We include this as standard before, between and after sets (typically while setting up and packing away), but we can also extend this for an extra fee. Let us know what you need and we'll work something out!
How much time do you need to set up?
We like to allow two hours to set up as the rig is quite extensive. It can be done in about half the time if absolutely essential.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
Yes, absolutely, although it's sometimes better to let us know which songs you'd prefer NOT to hear. We've built the set to enable us to follow the vibe of the dancefloor and keep guests entertained, so like to have flexibility to play the songs which are going to make the party memorable for being the best ever!
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
For the majority of performances, yes. However we will always need to gauge the size of the venue and number of guests ahead of time in case we need to bolster our PA with additional kit.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
You bet we can! First dances, favourite songs... just let us know and we'll have them ready for you! We will need advance notice, and we'll need to confirm it's possible with time and instrumentation in advance, but it's very rare it can't be done! We'll also make sure the selections fit into the evening as appropriately as possible, making it all flow!
