An experienced performer on the classical guitar, lute, and renaissance instruments, I also combine with lutenist and guitarist Jeff Alexander for Latin American guitar duets and renaissance music. I studied performance at King's College London (BMus) and in Canterbury (MMus, distinction), and have a lot of practical experience of festivals, concerts and dining events. I love providing music for events; this is combined with regular concert trips in the UK and abroad. I welcome a frendly dialogue to see if I am going to give you the right music to really lift your event and provide the right musical background and atmosphere.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I can usually manage that, provided that I’m not travelling too far. I leave plenty of time for setting up and arriving. I just need to know if timing changes as early as possible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No that’s not my USP- I’m a live musician.

How much time do you need to set up?

About 40 minutes to tune instruments and get set.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes, depending on what style you are looking for and ( if relevant) if you’re looking for renaissance or medieval music.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

I may ask for a straight back chair with no arms, usually not a problem, otherwise I bring all the instruments and any equipment.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

I am open to suggestions- and if possible I will accommodate requests. I can let you know at the booking negotiation whether or not I have to he time, and whether it is practical.
