Gaelforce have just won the Introducing Stage, by public vote at the Great British Folk festival Jan 2023 in front of an audience of 2-3000. A great achievement & no doubt a turning point in the bands fortunes. Gaelforce are highly acclaimed band from 1990s has reformed & available from autumn 2018. We play some original songs, some rocked up trad Irish songs & jigs n reels. Do see the live video on this site which is from Clarence Music Festival 2022. Booked at several major festivals in 2023 & already booked in 2024 for West Coast festival, Blackpool,(formerly Great British Folk festival) & Costa Festival in Portugal.

I finally went along to see Gaelforce when they played at the Old Printworks in Wakefield, close to where I live. I've known Chris Dyson for over thirty years. Knew he played fiddle in several different bands over the years and decided it was high time I made the effort! I wasn't disappointed. I was expecting straight Irish folk music but they have a blend of rock, folk, Irish, Yorkshire ballads. Great music, very tight sound with a nod and a wink to traditional Irish and not so traditional ballads. Great musicians who play well together. I intended staying for a couple of pints but stayed the entire evening. Great show boys! See you next time!
