Gabriele is a multi-instrumentalist from Italy. His passion for music began when he received his first drum kit at the age of six, surrounded by a very musical environment his percussive skills grew fast and at the age of eleven he was already playing in his first band, after several years of drum lessons gigs and recordings he felt that something was missing in his musical development, something that could combine rhythm and melody, he found his answer in an instrument called handpan! He approached on his first handpan in 2013 and after only 6 months of practicing he won the first prize at the “Handpan Race” an handpan contest organized by the Handpan festival in Milan. During the following years he recorded his first album as Handpan soloist and he started a long music trip through Australia and Asia, during this journey he has had the possibility to discover different musical cultures playing with many musicians and performing in countless events, busking, yoga centers, festivals and exhibitions expanding his knowledge and passion for music. Now He's based in London, where is teaching and performing as HandPan player.
Gabs absolutely made our event in the menswear department. It was so different, and gave such a unique magical atmosphere. He was really great with our guests too, engaging with them and answering their questions about his music. We'd highly recommend him!
Gabriele's music is truly beautiful. With his hands he can create soothing, calming tones, or a fast, upbeat atmosphere, with many other options along the way. He can put you in a trance where you feel so drawn in to the captivating tunes that you become almost meditative. Whether on stage performing to a crowd, or in the background at an event, his mastery of the handpan will be the talk of wherever he plays. Having seen Gabriele play with a harpist I can also attest to his skill at working with other musicians and tuning in to a vibe. He is a fantastic musician.
