Midnight City Band are a fantastic 6 piece band with a repertoire of the best 70s and 80s funk and disco floor fillers. Professional and semi professional musicians in their own rights they have combined their wealth of experience focusing on their love of party, funk and disco classics. This allows them to ensure you have a fantastic time and enjoy all of the hit songs from the 70’s and 80s. Their collective talent, dedication and professionalism have been recognised by clients enabling them to play at many private and corporate functions. They joined together at the beginning of 2019 and previous clients include TUI, Shearings Hotels, Norwegian Cruise Lines and P&O and individually have performed at such venues as Saddlers Wells Theatre, The London Palladium and many festivals. We can also be booked as a duo up to 5 piece band and do an Abba tribute show.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We have lots of audience interaction and participation. We play classic songs that everybody knows and loves and can sing along to or dance to. However we do throw in the odd song that is not played so much which gives people the 'oh yeah, remember this song' factor.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-audititioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable. As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.

Do you have different line-up options?

We have a line up of 2 female vocalists and a male vocalist who also plays bass, a drummer, guitarist and keyboard player. Tight harmonies from band members. We can also become a duo with tracks or acoustic. 3 Female vocalists with tracks, dance routines and LED costumes. Abba tribute duo or 4 piece.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We are very flexible and happy to assist you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. Alternatively if there is a specific door opening time, we like to set up early before guests arrive. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We are more than happy to discuss special requests for you, however our main set list is crafted from years of experience between the band members to ensure guests are dancing and having an amazing time.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.
