Funk Delight Band

The band was established by drummer Andy Christo in 2016. With a natural funk sound, this eclectic mix of London-based session musicians brings a sweet combination of experience and passion, allowing them to play anything from Aretha Franklin, Chic, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder to Rudimental, Joss Stone and Bruno Mars. Our group of soulful vocals roar through any genre from pop to funk and everything in between. We are a collective meaning that the musicians and singers can vary but have all worked together professionally on the same circuit. The main band consists of five members who can deliver and create performances that can feel like a larger band. The band can also deliver the full experience with two and three-part horn sections, additional backing vocals and a male lead vocal. The great thing about having a brass section is that you get as close to the original songs as heard on the albums of the greats and of course, some amazing horn solos that blaze through speakers making you get your groove on. You can also include a Male vocalist in the band which always is a nice optional extra as they will sing all the male lead songs. Collectively the band have played some of the UK’s most renowned venues including, Jazz Café, Ronnie Scotts, Ministry of Sound, Brixton Academy, Shepherds Bush Empire, 100Club, 606 and o2 Academy. The members have a wealth of experience under their belt. Sharing the stage and working with some of the finest bands and artists including, Jamiroquai, SouIllSoul, Nitin Sawney, Rober Miles, Labyrinth, The Brand New Heavies, Sam Smith, MPeople and many more, touring the world playing a variety of stages from arenas to legendary festivals including, Glastonbury, Bestival, BoomTown Fair and Download. They are equally at home playing events from weddings to corporate events, birthday parties and Galas. The band understand the importance of offering a personal service. Working closely with you, the event organisers and the vendors to ensure the day of your event runs smoothly and most importantly deliver a great professional performance for you and your guests.
