We all have decades of music performance under our belt and have played in numerous bands together over the years. CJ, our lead singer, is a vocal coach and is a stickler for close harmonies. Jools, on bass, teaches music and performance arts and 'H' (guitar and keys) has decades of hands on experience having toured with Ricky Valance and controlled lighting for 80's pop sensation Altered Images on one of their tours. The eighties has always been a favourite decade of ours, with both new bands and genres emerging on to the music scene...and as for those fashions. Woah!! We formed Full On 80's to recreate the atmosphere of those heady years, famous for their Rubix Cubes, the Sinclair C5, shoulder pads and big hair! A co-ordinated light show and eighties themed stage wear add to the awesome, authentic sounds to ensure our dynamic performances are a feast for eyes as well as ears. Audience participation is a must and CJ is expert at encouraging everyone to be up dancing and singing along.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

We're currently available as a duo or three piece band. The duo line up features CJ on lead vocals and 'H' on guitar, keys and vocals. The trio adds our bass player Jools. We use backing tracks so that the overall sound is authentic and true to the original eighties bands that performed them.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can normally accommodate slight changes in the timings but please do let us know as soon as possible. If the schedule moves by more than 30 minutes contact us immediately as we may have other commitments that could be affected.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We can provide background music before and between sets within the quoted cost. If you require background music to continue through our PA system after our set finishes we would be happy to give you an additional cost for this.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually require 2 hours for setting up before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide background music to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance

Can you roam around while you perform?

It's not possible for us to move around with our instruments, however CJ, our lead vocalist, uses a wireless microphone and likes nothing better than mixing it up with the audience!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our many years of performing have taught us what works best to ensure guests have the best time, and our set lists are structured accordingly. However, we're always happy to chat and make sure we have what will work best for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We have a PA system and lighting suitable for small to medium sized venues (up to about 200-250 people) and this is always included in our quote. For large venues there may be a requirement to hire in additional equipment and we would advise you of any additional cost when quoting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We may be able to, it will depend on the song suiting our vocalist and it fitting in to the set. Just let us know what you have in mind and we'll see what we can do. There will normally be an additional charge for learning a new song.
