Freya The Harpist
About Freya The Harpist
The sound and vision of the harp provide a very special touch to any wedding. It calms the nerves prior to the ceremony, it entertains the guests during the drink reception and it also creates an elegant atmosphere during the wedding breakfast. Harp travels and in good weather conditions it can be played outside as well. Freya is an experienced performer and available for bookings. She has a broad range of repertoire from classical to jazz and pop music, but she also welcomes any special song requests from the bride and groom to make the day extra special for the happy couple. Despite her young age, Freya has won many prizes for her playing in festivals and competitions, including Dudley Music Festival, North London Music Festival, Bristol Festival of Music and Drama (Eisteddfod), and Leamington Spa Music Festival. Freya is a keen orchestral player and she is currently a member of the CBSO Youth Orchestra and previously was principal harpist with the award-winning Leicestershire Schools’ Symphony Orchestra and often works with other orchestras around the Midlands.
