Fresh Grooves are an exciting band based in Leeds, West Yorkshire and have travelled nationally for 100s of events since forming! Having played together so long, the band is constantly adding their own takes to great tunes and updating songs regularly. The band all love what they do and will make sure you and your guests have a great time, dancing all night! Primarily a 5 piece band, Fresh Grooves can cover a wide variety of material to suit all ages. The band can even upgrade to add on a sax player or even a full brass section for a complete spectacle! Fresh Grooves can also play throughout your entire day if you're an avid music lover, performing for ceremonies and drinks receptions in smaller outfits. Fresh Grooves will work with you to make your day as best it can be and will be as flexible as possible to assure you have an event you won't want to forget!

Okay, general feedback was band was good but didn't interact with guests. Poor vocals & timing with music. Volume too loud. Finished abruptly and 12 and couldn't get out of the room quick enough.

We hired Fresh Grooves for our wedding recently, thanks to the fantastic music and atmosphere they created, everyone had an absolute blast! Booking, selecting playlists and communication has been excellent, quick and easy throughout. They are certainly crowd pleasers and kept everyone singing and dancing all night. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent live music from a genuinely enthusiastic team.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

All our performances are high energy and sure to get everybody dancing! Our singers are great at interacting with an audience and makes it feel like a show you are involved with, as opposed to any other regular gig.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

All sorts! We have toured supporting various bands and artists and played throughout the country. We have performed in various big theatres and even gone abroad in the past, so everything is constantly an amazing experience.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We take influence from all sorts of artists and genres! Big influences are Bruno Mars, Beyonce, The Killers, Take That, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, ABBA, Queen and The Spice Girls to name but a few! Chances are if you name someone, we will probably want to play something by them.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

As mentioned, we have toured extensively with various artists and bands. Though recently we performed at a venue completely unaware Chesney Hawkes was in the other room! A very star struck experience for us.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We aim to keep our line up as consistent as possible. On occasion a pre-auditioned 'dep' musician may be used in case a band member is ill or unavailable on the date. All our players of a high calibre and our reputation is very important to us

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is as follows: Lead Vocals, Guitar, Bass, Keys and Drums with at least one Backing Vocals. We can also upgrade this adding on a Sax Player or even a 3 piece Brass Section for a bigger spectacle. We also offer a reduced line up omitting Keys for smaller bookings

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem with us, we try to be as flexible as possible to ensure a great day! Just let us know running up to the event and we will do our best to work with you for the best solution

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We provide music as soon as our PA is set up for no extra cost! We typically include a laptop DJ service for 30 minutes after the band's final set. If you require longer than this, we can provide music for an additional cost.

How much time do you need to set up?

We typically need 1 to 1.5 hours depending on the size of band booked. If time is running short we will do our best to set up as quickly as possible.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We welcome suggestions of tunes, artists and styles you like but we do not allow anyone to pick every song we perform. We are very experienced in putting set lists together and tend to know what works best. We also often adapt set lists on the night depending on audience reaction, to ensure everyone has a great time!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, we provide all of our own PA equipment and lighting.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We can learn one bespoke song per event, usually reserved for a first dance, if the song is appropriate to be performed live.
