About Fraser

One of Scotland's top singing guitarists, available for wedding ceremonies, corporate events etc. - soulful vocals + sublime guitar playing!
Singing guitarist
Glasgow
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Hey! I'm Fraser, a professional musician with 10+ years experience playing guitar and singing with some of Scotland's finest party bands and as a solo musician. I currently perform regularly with The Apollos, but I also work with WooHoo, Callanish, and various other groups and agencies. I also work as a session guitarist and vocalist, most notably with the jazz group Nimbus Sextet, and I write and perform my own music with my group BEE~EATER. I started off playing in pubs in my hometown Stranraer at the age of 14, slowly graduating up to some festival stages and small tours. Since leaving Napier university with a 1st BA (Hons) in Popular Music, my work has taken me all across the UK and to some fantastic stages and venues; highlights over the last year include performing at Glasgow Jazz Festival, on the mainstage at Kelburn Garden Party, inside Edinburgh Castle, and as part of the Wide Days Music Convention Showcase Scotland. I am comfortable being the only sound in the room as you walk up the aisle, being in the background at a drinks reception, or playing upfront and centre getting your party moving. I can perform either as a solo guitarist, covering simple guitar versions of famous pop, rock, and jazz tunes, or as singing guitarist. I play both acoustic and electric guitar styles, and have a particular love for folk, soul, jazz, rock, pop, and blues music, but I am capable of playing just about anything asked of me and love to learn new music. I am a friendly, dedicated professional who takes great pride in his work, aiming to give clients the best experience I can from start to end. I am happy to learn the music you need at your event (first dances, special requests etc.) and fit with any themes you have going on. As well as performing as a soloist, I can bring accompanying musicians as well should you need a duo or trio. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions at all - I look forward to playing for you!

Fraser played for us during our wedding meal alongside Fiona & her violin. It was the most perfect entertainment for our guests & created an amazing atmosphere during the meal. They’re both unbelievably talented at what they do & made our day extra special. If you’re looking for any entertainment during your wedding or special event, we’d highly recommend!

We were fortunate to have Fraser play us down the aisle. Fraser went over and above in his preparation for the big day. He took the time to get to know what music meant a lot to us, made an arrangement and gave us a preview. He made it so special for us and played beautifully, we’ll remember it forever.
