Frank is currently in his fourth year at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama studying for a BMus in Classical Performance on the horn with Professor Richard Bissill, Chris Parkes and Alec Frank-Gemmill. In his third year he won a place on the ERASMUS Exchange Scheme at the Hochshule für Musik und Darstellende Künst Stuttgart where he studied for six months with Professor Christian Lampert, Wolfgang Wipfler and Horst Ziegler. Before this Frank received a full scholarship to attend Wells Cathedral School as a specialist musician where he studied with Simon de Souza. A passion for engaging with the community runs throughout Frank’s musical career. He has been involved in a number of outreach projects in schools across the UK, including a collaboration with Carnegie Hall affiliate ensemble ‘Da Coda’. During his time in Germany, Frank was fortunate enough to perform several recitals with Live Music Now Stuttgart. He currently leads a weekly performing arts club for young people with special educational needs. Frank is a member of the Wind-Up Penguin Theatre Company, a ‘UK’ charity that brings music theatre to underprivileged children around the world. This has involved spending a month in India working in slums, orphanages, special needs institutes, HIV centres and with victims of human trafficking. He eagerly anticipates his upcoming project this Summer, bringing fun and inspiration to refugees in Greece. Frank has worked as a freelance musician in both Germany and the UK in the orchestral and commercial spheres. In 2017 he was invited to the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival as a part of ‘Concrete Winds’ to perform as a guest ensemble and alongside many world class chamber musicians in numerous concerts. He has had masterclasses with Andrew Bain, David Pyatt, Erich Penzel, Johannes Hinterholzer, Hugh Seenan, Jeff Nelson and members of the Berlin Philharmonic.
