Francesca Burbela

Francesca has sung for a variety of ensembles across the midlands, including Leicestershire Chorale, one of the leading chamber choirs in the Midlands, Leicester University Chamber Choir, and multiple choirs in Birmingham, including Birmingham University SIngers, UoB Vocal Concert, and the Early Music Vocal Ensemble. She also joined the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain in 2016. Since joining these choirs, Francesca has performed with the English Cornett and Sackbut Ensemble in a concert of Rösenmuller Vespers, The Bardi Symphony Orchestra and at the BBC Proms with the Birmingham University Singers and the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. She recently completed 2 CD recordings, one with Leicester University Chamber Choir of musical shorts written by Paul Edwards, including two solo items, and the other a Passiontide Cantata by Simon Mold with the Knighton Consort. She has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge while singing with these ensembles in a range of genres under conductors such as Richard Laing, Ben Parry and Sakari Oramo. Since graduating with a Music Degree from the University of Birmingham in 2021, Francesca took the role as Graduate Music Assistant for Loughborough Schools Foundation. She recently completed this role and is now pursuing a full time professional free lance career. She has also started her year with the 2022-2023 Genesis Sixteen Cohort alongside some freelance performance work and singing teaching.
