Many of my friends describe me as a hard working and dedicated person as well as being personable and easy to get on with. I like to be the most prepared player in the room and surround myself with musicians that challenge me and keep me sharp. I have a working ability of piano and guitar and experience as MD which helps me to easily adapt to other conductors and MDs. Due to my work with pop acts and theatre shows I am very familiar with the use of electronics and samples and I am a strong reader as well as quick to learn and notate by ear. I have played on major Cruise lines (Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Lines and P&O), sat in the pit for tours of Rent, Jersey Boys, Strictly Ballroom and played countless functions and original shows.

Florin played in the band at our wedding and I can say nothing but great things about him. He is incredibly talented and very fun to watch on stage. He was in charge of the band and dealt with all aspects of the evening very quickly and professionally. I can only recommend working with him. Best drummer I have ever met.

I am writing this recommendation as Florin Werner has worked for me over the past five years, and he has proven to be nothing short of outstanding. As a musician, his talent and professionalism is immediately apparent, but his leadership skills are equally impressive. Tasked with being the musical leader of an extremely complicated series of shows, Florin rose to the challenge and performed his duties at the highest level, and while I’m happy for his new on-shore life, I was very sorry to see him go, as he was an integral part of the growth and development of Syd Norman’s Pour House.
