Firestar

We are based in the south of England, consisting of 5 vastly experienced musicians, with a wealth of industry knowledge, more years than we care to remember! Our ethos is to get people onto the dancefloor and keep them there all night with a wide range of pop hits. We use professional quality sound and lighting equipment to give you the best show we can and make the dancefloor a key part of the evening. Firestar offers 2 quality live sets (each of between 60-90 minutes) to suit your requirements playing energetic hits from the last 5 decades. We also offer complimentary interval music if required (before and after our live sets) as an alternative to a DJ. This can be our playlists, or we can play yours from a phone, I-Pad or similar. As musicians, we all come from very different backgrounds: Our amazing vocalist Charlene, has been fronting function bands for years, and has worked with our drummer, Trev for the last 15!! Trev uses a completely electric kit which means he can access a realistic sound for any song (our set list proves his diversity). Chris is your bassist, joining Trev in the rhythm section; originally a classically trained cellist, and playing his instrument for 25 years in funk / soul and rock bands. James Hamer plays guitar and backing vocals, a successful recording artist and trained at the Berklee College of Music in the US. Our line-up is completed by Jon, a natural pianist and keyboard player, his amazing keyboards produce incredible sounds and are a vital part of the Firestar sound. We absolutely love going out and entertaining people and we love the variety of gigs we play. Whether its a birthday party, wedding or corporate event we will work with your extensively in the run-up to ensure we understand what you audience would enjoy, and tailor our set list to suit.
