Firestar

We are a Salisbury based band, consisting of 5 vastly experience musicians, with a wealth of industry knowledge, both in performance and organising musical events. Our passion is making your event special, and doing everything we can to make that happen. We use high end PA (BOSE F1), audio and lighting equipment to give your event a professional finish and make the dancefloor a key part of the evening. Firestar offers 2 quality live sets to suit your requirements playing energetic hits from the last 5 decades. We also offer complimentary interval music if required (before and after our live sets) as an alternative to a DJ. One of our unique features is the way we work with our sound equipment to avoid typical problems others can face with microphone feedback and excessive noise. By connecting our equipment straight into the mixing desk and PA, we avoid the need for huge on-stage amplifiers, which takes up less space. This method also allows us to control the sound you hear directly from the stage ourselves. This sets us apart from other bands when faced with noise limiters, which can often be a problem for a live band. As musicians, we all come from very different backgrounds: Our amazing vocalist Charlene, has been fronting function bands for years, and has worked with our drummer, Trev for the last 15!! Trev uses a completely electric kit which means he can access a realistic sound for any song (our set list proves his diversity). Chris is your bassist, joining Trev in the rhythm section; originally a classically trained cellist, and playing his instrument for 25 years in funk / soul and rock bands. James Hamer plays guitar and backing vocals, a successful recording artist and trained at the Berklee College of Music in the US. Our line-up is completed by Jon, a natural pianist and keyboard player, his amazing keyboards produce incredible sounds and are a vital part of the Firestar sound.
