Fiona has also studied the piano, violin and singing but when she began the Harp at age 6 it soon became apparent that the other instruments were secondary to her interest in the Harp. She has gained extensive experience performing throughout the UK and abroad for over 10 years and with her varied repertoire she has delighted a wide range of clients with her soothing and uplifting music and her harp has added an air of refinement and relaxation. Often described as the most friendly, ‘normal’ Harpist about, with a strong sense of humour and a sympathetic musical ear and Fiona ensures that each client's musical tastes are adhered to and is flexible and thoughtful in her approach. Her repertoire is vast and spans pieces written for the Harp, to Classical, Jazz, Contemporary, Film, Musical and folks music and she's happy to take requests too (bear in mind that at times it means learning a piece of music so do leave plenty of time!) With over 10yrs professional experience in playing for a huge variety of clientele, Fiona's professionalism is evident throughout her attitude to playing and providing a first class service for each occasion.
As a ‘mature couple’, we wanted our wedding to be a relaxed, informal and enjoyable family celebration and Fiona with her amazing repertoire of music and her friendly and approachable nature was the perfect addition to ensure our day was so special. Our ‘Best Man’ – 5 year old Leo – still mentions the lovely lady that let him try the Harp! Fiona’s outstanding musical ability entertained and enchanted all of our guests and indeed ourselves before , during and after the ceremony.
Hi Fiona I’ve just returned from honeymoon and wanted to say a HUGE thank you for playing for us on our wedding day. I’m sorry I didn’t get chance to thank you personally on the actual day, i’ve never been pulled from pillar to post so much in my life!! I also wanted to thank you for playing Sleeping Beauty for my niece, it’s all she’s spoken about since! You really made her day. Match of the day went down a treat too, lots of people asked me if they we’re right in what they heard, I loved it! Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you for making our day so special and I will definitely recommend you to anyone I know who is having a wedding!
James and I just wanted to say a big thank you to you for coming all the way down to Creeksea Place to play for us at our wedding. You played beautifully and so many guests commented on what a lovely idea it was and how moved they were hearing you play. I remember first hearing you play as I made my way round the outside of the walled garden with my Dad. I said to my Dad, ‘I think I am going to cry’ as I got so caught up in the emotion of it all. I managed to hold it together as we walked down the aisle! The day went so quickly for James and I. There were so many things to see and so many people to chat too, in such a short space of time. We cannot wait to see the video to live it all again and catch up on anything we missed.
We just wanted to drop you a quick email to say a huge thank you for bringing such a special touch to our wedding. It was so lovely to see a smiling familiar face at the top of the aisle after the initial shock of the walk down the aisle wore off. The beautiful sound of your fantastic skill was just perfectly in-keeping with our day and just added the most amazing vibe to the ceremony and the drinks reception. Thank you so much for being so wonderful in the lead up and for keeping me so calm when the going got tough. You were far more than a talented musician for our day, you became my talented agony aunt whose smiling face was exactly what I need to see when I glanced over. I felt so reassured when I saw you there. I will forever have the memory of your beautiful harp in my head when I play back the first time I saw Rick as I walked down the aisle so thank you for even making my memories so beautiful. If I ever need a harpist again (heheheeee) I know who to call! Thank you.
BLOODY NORA! You were AMAAAAAAZING! Oh my goodness – we, and literally all our guests, were totally blown away by your incredible performances. We wanted to get in touch to pass on our heartfelt thanks for taking such obvious care and time preparing our incredible day – we had sooooo many people ask us how we knew you. They thought you were a friend of ours which is really lovely testament and reflection on your energy and love you put in to the whole day. I hope lots of them had a chance to tell you themselves (I just apologise we didn’t get enough time ourselves). You were absolutely perfect for our beyond perfect day, and thank you from deep in our hearts. Really hope you enjoyed yourself too, as that was very important to us. We’ve got some really lovely photos of you so far (just waiting on the official ones) so please let me know if you’d like me to email you any? It’s been a total pleasure organising it all with you Fiona – I’m sure all your events just love you! We’ve really appreciated your professionalism, enthusiasm, talent, kindness and lovely emails :-) THANK YOU so much for making the whole process a joy, for taking so much care, and for performing so beautifully. Hope you have a fabulous summer and manage to get a holiday at some point! Kindest regards and the warmest, sunshinyest wishes
