About Fiona

Harpist
Hailsham
Public liability insurance of £10 million

Fiona has also studied the piano, violin and singing but when she began the Harp at age 6 it soon became apparent that the other instruments were secondary to her interest in the Harp. She has gained extensive experience performing throughout the UK and abroad for over 10 years and with her varied repertoire she has delighted a wide range of clients with her soothing and uplifting music and her harp has added an air of refinement and relaxation. Often described as the most friendly, ‘normal’ Harpist about, with a strong sense of humour and a sympathetic musical ear and Fiona ensures that each client's musical tastes are adhered to and is flexible and thoughtful in her approach. Her repertoire is vast and spans pieces written for the Harp, to Classical, Jazz, Contemporary, Film, Musical and folks music and she's happy to take requests too (bear in mind that at times it means learning a piece of music so do leave plenty of time!) With over 10yrs professional experience in playing for a huge variety of clientele, Fiona's professionalism is evident throughout her attitude to playing and providing a first class service for each occasion.

As a ‘mature couple’, we wanted our wedding to be a relaxed, informal and enjoyable family celebration and Fiona with her amazing repertoire of music and her friendly and approachable nature was the perfect addition to ensure our day was so special. Our ‘Best Man’ – 5 year old Leo – still mentions the lovely lady that let him try the Harp! Fiona’s outstanding musical ability entertained and enchanted all of our guests and indeed ourselves before , during and after the ceremony.

Hi Fiona I’ve just returned from honeymoon and wanted to say a HUGE thank you for playing for us on our wedding day. I’m sorry I didn’t get chance to thank you personally on the actual day, i’ve never been pulled from pillar to post so much in my life!! I also wanted to thank you for playing Sleeping Beauty for my niece, it’s all she’s spoken about since! You really made her day. Match of the day went down a treat too, lots of people asked me if they we’re right in what they heard, I loved it! Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you for making our day so special and I will definitely recommend you to anyone I know who is having a wedding!
