Finn has been interested in music since starting piano lessons at age 8 and learning to compose soon after. He progressed quickly, playing at school concerts and at local venues in and around Bath. Finn has played piano on BBC radio Bristol and several local radio stations in Suva, Fiji, as well as on international television in the South Pacific to an estimated 2,000,000 viewers across Pacific islands and Papua New Guinea. Finn has taken part in masterclasses given by Joanna MacGregor, Richard Meyrick, Jonathan Powell and Marios Papadopoulos. He has also received tuition from Katherine Tylko-Hill, John Byrne, Olena Shvetsova, Charlotte Tomlinson and Amy de Sybel. During his gap year, Finn travelled extensively, playing music wherever possible. This led to recitals in Canada, in Calgary, Alberta and Osoyoos, British Columbia, as well as an appearance with Australian singer-song writer Candice McCleod in Byron Bay, NSW, and numerous engagements in the South Pacific. In June 2014, Finn took part in the first ever Dulwich International Music Academy (DIMA) in Beijing, China, as one of only six composers selected worldwide. This led to the composition and performance of new works, such as 'Over the Bridge (Beijing at Dusk)' and the performance of existing compositions. Finn is currently studying music at Oxford university under Prof. Martyn Harry.
