Born in Mar de Plata (Argentina), Felipe García moved to Madrid, Spain at the age of 3, where he later began his music education at the “Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria”. During hisstudies he has attended several different schools: Conservatorio Superior de Música “Salvador Seguí” (Castellón, Spain) where he studied with José Enrique Bouché, Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Rotterdam, The Netherlands), ArtEZ Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (Arnhem, The Nehterlands) where he obtained a Masters degree in 2014, under the guidance of Jeroen Reuling and Rene Berman. From September 2014 he is pursuing a MA degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London, England. Alongside his formal studies, Felipe García has been a member of several orchestras, including: Jorcam (of which he was principal of his section between 2007 and 2010), Jonde, Orquesta Inventas and Orcam. As a chamber musician he has performed at some of the most renowned auditoria in Spain and The Netherlands: Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Auditorio Eduardo del Pueyo (Zaragoza), Palau de la Música (Valencia), L’Auditori (Castellón) and De Doelen (Rotterdam) and has been invited to several festivals including the Ziester Muziekedaagen. His work as a soloist includes performances with both the symphonic and the baroque orchestras of the Conservatory “Arturo Soria”, as well as with Cameratta Rotterdam. He has taken part in different competitions, wining the first prize at the “Hazen Chamber Music Competition” in Madrid in 2006 and the second prize at the National Chamber Music Competition “Cuitat de Burriana” in 2010. He has received masterclasses from Patrick Demenga, Gary Hoffmann, Marçal Cervera and Marcio Carneiro among others.
