Growing up in Perth Faye received a flute scholarship to attend Perth’s specialist Music School-Churchlands Senior High School-where she studied for 5 years. She later went on to study a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at the University of Western Australia and graduated with honors in 2013. As a passionate orchestral musician Faye has performed with the West Australian Charity Orchestra, the West Australian Philharmonic and Youth Orchestras, the University of WA Symphony Orchestra, the Fremantle Chamber Orchestra, and St Georges Chamber Orchestra. She has performed Bourne’s Carmen Fantasy as a soloist with the West Australian Youth Music Association at the Perth Concert Hall, and following her solo recital in 2012 she was awarded the Janet Anderson Prize for the most outstanding performance of a woodwind work. Faye has performed in masterclasses at the Oxford Flute Summer School and the Australian Flute Festival, and has attended the West Australian Symphony Orchestra Training Program. As an avid opera, ballet and musical theatre enthusiast, Faye has also performed as a pit musician with production company PlayLovers. Since her relocation to London in September of 2014, Faye has continued her education with the London Symphony Orchestra’s Sharon Williams and has performed with the HashTag Opera Company, the New London Opera group, Yorke Summer Opera, and Kings College London G&S Orchestra. She has also presented public recitals at St John’s Stratford and St Bride’s Fleet Street.
