Ewan played at our wedding in August 2023. We approached Ewan after we saw him playing his saxophone in Leeds, and it was the best decision to ask him if he’d play our wedding! Ewan played whilst everyone was arriving and he provided the best welcome to all our guests and set the mood for the day. He then played throughout our drinks ceremony. We had so many guests say how amazing he was and how much they loved it. It set the perfect tone to the start of our wedding and I only wish I was around more instead of having photos taken so I could have listened to him more! He was the perfect addition to our day and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Thank you Ewan for adding some amazing live music to our day and helping make it so special.

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I am a passionate, enthusiastic and joyful person and I think my personality shines through my performances - this is what my clients love most. I take pride in every performance ensuring they are to the absolute best of my ability, and endeavour to leave everyone who hears me play with a smile. I love what I do, and I love sharing that feeling with others.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have performed at luxury hotels including Hazlewood Castle and Ripley Castle, as well as large open-air events with my band and small intimate restaurants for Valentine's Day.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

On the saxophone, my greatest influences include legends such as Stan Getz, Cannonball Adderley, and Maceo Parker, as well as modern giants including Michael Brecker and David Sanborn. When it comes from the piano, I take influence from the beautiful Bill Evans, along with Oscar Peterson and Herbie Hancock.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be as flexible as possible to help ensure your event runs perfectly. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event, don't worry - just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free!

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 hour before the performance time. As soon as my equipment is ready, I can provide a free playlist service to help build the atmosphere and get your guests ready for my live performance!”

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Yes of course you can! My set lists are crafted from hundreds of successful performances, but are ultimately a guide and you can shape them in whatever way you wish.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument/ equipment to perform.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

That's not a problem at all - I can learn whatever you want me to play, as long as you give me a little notice.
