Evie is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in her first year of a BMus (hons) in classical cello studying with professor Tim Lowe. As a soloist, highlights have included giving recitals as part of the Poole Arts Association and being the Young Artist of the Wessex festival in 2016 and she looks forward to giving her solo recital as part of the Weymouth Music Festival in April 2019. Evie has performed in venues such as St John’s Smith Square, Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, and St Paul’s Knightsbridge as a soloist with orchestra and performed Saint-Säens cello concerto (A minor) with professional orchestra at Poole Lighthouse in 2017. Performing in masterclasses taken by cellists such as Natalie Clein as part of the Purbeck Music Festival, and Louise Hopkins, Pierre Doumange, Adrian Brendel and Sue Lowe as part of the International Cello Gathering, have been profoundly influential. As a chamber musician, Evie has performed at the Plush Music Festival and toured the South West of England with the American Quartet and Shostakovich Piano Quintet in 2017. Since being a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama Evie has become part of a piano trio and string quartet, of which have received coaching from the Endellion quartet on numerous occasions. Professional engagements have included performing with ‘The String Quartet’ (Dorset), performing as a soloist with VOCES8 and being part of a the Milton Abbey International Music Festival.
