Ethan Townsend Sax

Ethan Townsend is a professional saxophonist available for weddings, parties, corporate events and private functions. Performing with backing tracks, he offers a varied repertoire of jazz, swing, soul, funk and pop, making him suitable for everything from relaxed drinks receptions to livelier celebrations. Ethan trained at two of the UK’s leading conservatoires, graduating with a First-Class Honours degree in Classical Saxophone from the Royal College of Music before completing a Master’s degree in Jazz Saxophone at the Royal Academy of Music. During his studies, he received several awards and scholarships, including the Henry Wood Trust Award and a Help Musicians Postgraduate Award. Alongside his solo work, Ethan has performed with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Ballet and Syd Lawrence Orchestra. His professional experience has taken him to venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and Royal Opera House. As a jazz musician, Ethan has performed at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club alongside vibraphonist Orphy Robinson, as well as at PizzaExpress Live Soho and Crazy Coqs. His background in both classical and jazz music gives him a broad musical range and allows him to perform comfortably across different styles.
