Originally from Caernarfon in North Wales, 20 years old Erin Fflur Williams is in her second year at the Royal Northern College of Music Studying Bachelor of Music (Vocal Studies and Opera) with her tutor Ann Taylor. Born into a musical family Erin started her journey as a young musician at the age of 9 years old with her Vocal Tutor Sian Wyn Gibson. By the age of 11 she was vocally trained by Jenny Pearson in the Williams Mathias Center, Y Galeri, Caernarfon, before having vocal training with the famous Opera singer Rhys Meirion. She also enjoyed her Piano, Saxophone and Violin lessons. Her Education began at Ysgol Y Gelli in Caernarfon, where she then went to Syr Hugh Owen Secondary School in Caernarfon (2007-2014) as well as David Hughes Secondary School (2012-2014). Erin left school with A Levels in Music, Drama, Welsh Language and Welsh Literature. In 2014 Erin received a place at The Royal Northern College of Music to study Bachelor of Music (Vocal Studies and Opera) Over the years Erin has performed across the country and in numerous places in Europe. By the age of 10 Erin was casted in her first ever Opera with the company WNO and their production of Wild Cats and was casted the main role Catrin. In 2007 she was a chorus member for a special Opera by Billy Evans – Cei Llawn Cyffro. The most recent Opera she was in was Street Scene at The Royal Northern College of Music as a chorus member. Over the years she has showed her love to Musicals and has been casted as Nancy (Oliver), Marty (Grease), Glinda (The Wizzard of Oz), Madame Aubert (Titanic). Her biggest highlight was performing Sweeney Todd at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod sharing the stage with Bryn Terfel (Sweeney Todd). Erin is a enthusiastic competitor. In 2009 she was awarded 3rd price in North Wales Musician of the year. She has also won numerous competitions around Wales. Her most resent winning was Solo 19-25 at Sir Eryri Eisteddfod where she will now be competing at the Final in the Eisteddfod Yr Urdd 2016 at Flint (North Wales) Erin was a member of numerous groups such as – The Royal Northern College of Music Symphony Chorus, Côr Ieuenctid Môn, Glanaethwy Junior Choir, Glanaethwy Senior Choir, Caernarfon Chamber Choir, Syr Hugh Owen Choir, Syr Hugh Owen Jazz Band, Syr Hugh Owen Vocal Quartet and many more. By being members of these musical groups she has had many life time experiences such as becoming 2nd in Choir of the World (2014) with Glanaethwy Senior Choir, Competing in Côr Cymru numerous times with the choirs, Competing at the Pan Celtic Festival in Derry, Singing in Brussels for the Government, Competing at the Choir Of The Year at The Royal Festival Hall in London, Singing at the Royal Albert Hall in Music For Youth and at the 2012 BBC Proms performing the work A Child Of Our Time (Tippet) and performing with The Gondwana Choral from Australia at the Dora Stoutzker Hall at The Royal Welsh College Of Music and Drama (Cardiff), Performing Mahler 2 at the RNCM Concert Hall.
