Emma has an undergraduate and postgraduate degree from the Royal College of Music, from which she graduated from in 2022. While there, she was the recipient of the Michael Quinn Award and an RCM Foundation and Douglas & Hilda Simmonds Scholar. She has been taught by Simon Rayner, Nigel Black, Kira Doherty, Tim Jones, Jeff Bryant, John Thurgood, John Ryan, Roger Montgomery, and David Bentley. She has a particular love of orchestral low horn playing, and has played with orchestras such as the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the Berlin Metropolitan Orchestra, as well as performing as a soloist for Scherzo Ensemble. She has also performed under reknowned conductors such as Bernard Haitink, Vasily Petrenko, John Wilson and Antonio Pappano. In her spare time, Emma is a brass teacher for Enfield Music Service, a member of all-female horn octet Cor8, and activies and dementia coordinator at a care home, having cared for her Grandmother for many years.
