About Emily Streete

Professional singer from Edinburgh who fronts events band Emily and The Fedoras. She is a mezzo soprano and sings a wide range of styles.
Singer (mezzo soprano)
Edinburgh

In 2012, Emily Streete and Michael Grant began jamming together as Drive. After a few gigs around Edinburgh they realised that all the songs that they wanted to perform required horns. As awesome as Mike’s face melting guitar solos are, they decided that musically, they were going to need a bigger boat. In March 2013, two became six : Emily and The Fedoras were formed. With a shared passion for an era where the music was as cool as the style, the band began reworking classic Soul, Motown and Classic Rock hits. As the set list grew and gigs became plentiful, word got out about the band’s infectious energy and onstage banter. They frequently gig around Edinburgh in venues such as Whistlebinkies, Stramash and The Jazz Bar where they’ve been met with a roof raising reception. The band has also performed at weddings and functions in prestigious venues such as: The George Hotel, Killearn Village Hall, The National Museum of Scotland, The Rowantree at The Caves, Windmill Barn and Oran Mor. Emily and The Fedoras bring a classic retro style to any party and relish the opportunity to whip the crowd into a frenzy!

Emily and The Fedoras were the band at a wedding I recently attended. They were fantastic, created a great atmosphere and everyone was up on the dance floor. Can't recommend them enough and definitely want to see them again in the future. Proud Mary and Son of a Preacher Man were definitely the two that did it for me! Thanks guys for a great night!
