Based in Manchester and a Classical Piano Performance graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), Emily has developed a versatile knowledge of many styles of playing and singing- traditional classical solo piano, jazz and pop, as well as Big Band, Musical Theatre and various different types of ensembles and bands. Emily has been booked for performances by names such as Premier League Productions, John Lewis and Buxton International Festival. Years of experience performing as a background pianist (most recently at the Manchester and Sheffield Virgin Money Lounges and the International Anthony Burgess Foundation) have equipped her well to interact with customers and use initiative to select the most appropriate music for any given situation. While Emily is a very capable soloist due to the demands of her chosen study at the RNCM, she particularly enjoys working with other musicians and works with ensembles on a regular basis.

Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with, from the booking process right through to the wedding day. Her communication was excellent, and she truly went above and beyond in learning our special song requests, including one that was particularly meaningful to the groom and helped him feel at ease before the ceremony. Emily provided the music for our wedding ceremony and drinks reception at a historic venue. She created two custom arrangements one of which was not, erm a traditional wedding song but came out beautifully on the day. She was also very responsive via email and willingly answered all of our questions about the day. Highly recommend. Thanks Emily!

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Please keep me updated with any changes in the lead up to your event and I will be as flexible as I can. Some clients need to increase the length of their booking as plans change, and I am normally able to accommodate this.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually arrive and set up around 1 hour before the performance time if bringing my own equipment, or 45 minutes if there is a piano at your venue.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes, of course - as long as it is in good working order and in tune.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely! Choose as many songs as you want from my set list, plus up to five that aren't already on the list. You can choose the full list or leave it to me to fill out the rest.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes - I have state of the art equipment and bring it for no additional cost.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, as long as I have at least four weeks' notice - I will learn up to five songs for you.
