Emily Lynch

Hello, I am Emily Lynch and I’m 18 and have been singing Jazz since the age of 12. When I was 10, I moved to France with my family. I have moved back to Dublin this summer to start University in Dublin in September. I went to secondary school in Marciac, a small village internationally know for “Jazz In Marciac”, the biggest Jazz festival in France. For four years, while in Secondary School, I attended a five hours jazz training weekly and learned singing but also basic jazz piano harmony and chords, which has helped me through the years to communicate and understand musicians playing with me. I also volunteered for 3 years in the “Jazz in Marciac International Festival” and have in exchange been able to see some of the best Jazz musicians perform live,. Last year I attended the Sligo Jazz summer school and festival and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I have done a lot of concerts, love singing, and know jazz musicians in France and around Ireland.
