About Emily

Award-winning reed player with a passion for musicals and jazz. I love making weddings and events special by creating bespoke packages!
Alto Saxophonist
Cheshire, UK

Emily is an award-winning, international reed player delighting audiences around the world at private and corporate events, weddings, parties, restaurants, bars and hotels with her saxophone, clarinet and flute. Originally from Cheshire, UK, Emily moved to Manchester aged 18 to study at the world-renowned Royal Northern College of Music, under the guidance of prestigious and internationally respected players and tutors; Professor Linda Merrick, Nicholas Cox, Antonio Salguera and Chris Swann. After graduating Emily embarked on her musical career in Manchester, becoming one of the most in-demand multi-reed players in the city playing at weddings, parties and corporate events, as well as in pit orchestras for hundreds of musical theatre productions. Music has taken Emily across the world, performing all over Europe, Africa, South America and the Caribbean. She spent 4 years living in the Cayman Islands, and quickly made her mark on the busy music scene, often seen entertaining crowds weekly on saxophone at the hotels and bars along the Seven Mile Beach strip. Having returned to the UK, Emily is now based in the North West of England. Emily's music is tailored to your event. Whether you're looking for cool, chilled out background music or some more upbeat, funky tunes to get everybody dancing, she is able to deliver a performance made just for you.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via my PA after the final set until the venue closes, I provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as my PA is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for my live performance!

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, I'm definitely happy to chat through and make sure I find what works for your event.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically, and my own PA system when required.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in my song list there may still be a chance I already know it. If there is a special song you'd like me to learn I am happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account writing an arrangement and practice time.

It was a pleasure to have Emily perform at our event. Very professional and organized saxophonist. The music was amazing! We were all pleased with her relaxing style and the various selections of music. I would not hesitate to use her again and highly recommend her for future events.

Kirsty O, 2 years ago

Emily kindly lent her talents to us for a charity event, and she was fantastic. She set the tone for a wonderful evening by creating a beautiful ambiance for our guests to enjoy. She was professional, great to listen to and played a range of music around the style we requested. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!
