Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I think that the personal side appeals to a lot of clients - I am happy to chat to audience members after concerts/functions and a lot of people really enjoy that aspect. Also I try to inject as much passion and fun into my playing as possible and I think that people really enjoy that.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

I have played in various venues over the years both as a soloist and as part of a larger ensemble, including Bridgewater Hall, Glasgow City Halls, The Wesley Church Centre in Chester, Manchester Cathedral and the Royal Academy of Music to name a few!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Emmanuel Pahud and Sharon Bezaly are my favourite flautists and I take a lot of influence from them, but also my teachers Katherine Bryan and Helen Brew are hugely inspirational and hearing them play in the Royal Scottish National Orchestra influence my orchestral playing a lot.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably with the Chetham's Symphony Orchestra when I was a student there. We played some amazing venues including Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Cathedral and Duke's Hall at the Royal Academy of Music. All the concerts were sold out so the atmosphere was incredible!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will always endeavour to be as flexible as possible, if any timings need to be changed prior to the event just let me know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Not usually, but if you give me some info on what you are looking for maybe we can see!

How much time do you need to set up?

Very little, maybe 15-20 mins to get settled.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Absolutely, if you have any preferences I would be more than happy to accommodate.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, of course! I bring my own instrument and require no amplification.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If there is a specific piece you would like me to learn for your event I would be happy to do this for you. There will be a fee of £25 to take into account additional rehearsals needed.

Emilia was super easy to work with ahead of the event. She helped with a lot of our pre-event coverage and was really well organised. Her and the guitarist Ross played brilliantly - they were extremely well rehearsed and it was a slick performance. We'd love to have them back!
