Elliott Nielson is the London Hippy. An open format DJ from from North London, who plays Soul, Funk, Disco, House, Indie, Reggae, Rock, Drum and Bass, Latin, Jazz and anything warm and joyous. His love for all genres and styles can take dancers on a magic carpet ride around the globe. He has a weekly show on The Face Radio Brooklyn playing an eclectic mix of psychedelic sounds. He's aiming to follow in the footsteps of touring radio DJs like Gilles Peterson and John Digweed whilst exhibiting style like Natasha Diggs, Jazzy Jeff and EZ. He is currently the Community Manager at Mixcloud, listening to music at every working moment of the day. Raised on soul-funk-jazz but grew up in London's underground rave and festival scenes, his record collection spans genre and continents, focusing on positive resonance and real feeling. He works with every client on a personal level to create the perfect vibe for each night he's booked. His wide tastes and expert knowledge as a music journalist allow him to tap into those bangers you know and love, plus the one's you forgot you knew! At just 29 year's old his experience is almost 15 years deep playing his first gig at 15 years old! Since then he's played at the Kentish Town Forum 02 as part of rap group Greasy Deep. He held a residency at The Canteen in Bristol, then The Golden Lion (Bristol). He's also played at 91 on Brick Lane and Next Door Records Two in Stoke Newington. He's presented radio shows on Voices Radio, Netil, Mode FM, Totally Wired Radio, Void and Pyro Radio. Having grown up around music, a career in it was inevitable. Having worked as a sound technician, sound system engineer, music journalist, artist liaison and event promoter, he understands everything necessary for a good night.
