Elliott Rooney is pianist, vocalist and songwriter. He has spent years honing his skill at hundreds of gigs, from Jazz clubs to Symphony halls, and now splits his time between the West Midlands and London working on a range of musical projects. As versatile as he is talented Elliott plays solo piano, accompanies others and works with bands across the UK, spanning a range of genres including jazz, rock, pop and blues. He is also open to work involving classical pieces. He has recently begun building his collection of self-penned piano and vocal songs, and is in the process of writing an album for release in April 2016. Gifted from a young age, Elliott saw a piano at the age of five and hasn’t looked back. His accolades include winning Alcester Musician of the Year and the Thomas Beecham Scholarship from Exeter University. A reliable member of any ensemble both musically and professionally he has carved out a successful music career that has seen him play at the prestigious 100 club and feature on an original cross-genre jazz/folk album as a session musician.

Elliott played and sang at my mother's online memorial service via Zoom. He'd stepped in at the last minute when another pianist had let us down... and I'm so glad he did. His warm voice, excellent musicianship and kind attention to the service made it a really special occasion. I've received many compliments from the attendees, all of whom said how much Mom would have loved his jazzy song stylings. If you are thinking about booking Elliott, don't hesitate. He's a lovely person as well as the kind of musician who can light up a room.

Fantastic!! Elliott played at our Covid friendly wedding and was the missing ingredient to create the warmth and fun we were after! His piano playing is second to none and his musical repertoire was just brilliant! We will definitely be having Elliott again one day in the future when life returns to normality! Great pianist, flexible, professional and made the event that much more memorable, thanks Elliott.

Elliott was fantastic! He is a great musician with a lovely voice, who does not "just" replay known songs but gives them his own touch (we found a few of his versions were better than the original ones!). Not only that, he was very easygoing and flexible on the day and extremely patient and understanding with the children (that can't have been easy!). Over the Christmas period we hired Elliott Rooney for a special dinner party we were hosting at our home. It's an annual event and each year we try to do something a little different. Our evening with Elliott proved to be the best we had ever done. Elliott is a very talented singer and piano player. So first and foremost he is great to listen to and to have live music in your home is a real treat. However the thing that made this evening so special was his personality, my guests really liked him. He was able to take request after request, on the night and just play whatever we asked for. So the evening turned into a big sing along , with favourites for our guests and lots of special moments re-lived. I can't recommend Elliott enough as an all round entertainer. We have booked him again.
