Cellist

Elliott is a cellist based in London having recently graduated his Master’s from the Royal Academy of Music where he studied with Benjamin Hughes. He enjoys an active freelance career as an orchestra player, having accompanied Chineke! on international tours, BBC Proms concerts, CD recordings and radio broadcasts, as well as having played guest-principal cello with the Northern Chamber Orchestra and recorded with the London Mozart Players and Welsh National Opera. He is also involved in mainstream TV/film recording sessions at Abbey Road and Air Lyndhurst Studios. As a chamber musician Elliott has played festivals in and around London including the Ryedale Festival and Brighton Festival as well as live Radio 3 performances, as well as making regular appearances in Wigmore Hall. His string quartet held the chamber music scholarship at the Academy studying with the Doric Quartet and recorded extensively over the pandemic, as well as playing in the Petworth Festival and Echo Festival. They were also selected to record Eleanor Alberta’s Shining Gate of Morpheus in Academy’s Duke’s Hall.
