Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Just let me know in advance and I'll try my best to be as flexible as possible. It's usually completely fine!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

If you let me know in advance I can happily provide an iPod or Spotify mix.

How much time do you need to set up?

If there is a DJ already there I can be as fast as 15 minutes (I always arrive much earlier that however). If I am also providing the PA system then I will need at least 45 minutes.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

I'm always open to requests!

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

If I'm with a DJ they usually sort out the PA system or the venue may provide one. I can always bring one if necessary. I bring my own clip on mic (so I can walk around when playing).

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes! Always happy to throw in a new song! If there is a few songs to learn I might ask to bum up the fee (as that can turn into a lot of work).

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I always dance! And I don't stop smiling. I love performing and people will always tell you that it shows. Also I have worked really hard at my playing to be where I am today!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Symphony Hall, Birmingham Band on the Wall, Manchester Neighbourhood, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool Dirty Martini, Manchester, Leeds, Cardiff Australasia (Grand Pacific), Manchester The Laundrette, Manchester, Newcastle Gotham Hotel, Manchester Tattu, Manchester

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Kamasi Washington Miles Davis Portico Quartet John Coltrane Maceo Parker David Sanborn

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

In 2016 I was booked to tour around different venues around The Alps. In June 2019 my band, Ask My Bull, will be launching our debut album in front of over 200 people.

I booked Elliot because his style was slightly different from some of the other sax players, although he is very versatile and played a range of genres at our wedding - some songs weren’t on his playlist so don’t be afraid to ask for anything not on there. Elliot was one of the best things about our wedding day. He came in midway through our first dance for a 1 hour set and listened to our music taste to come up with the song list, quickly swapping any songs that we wanted. So many of our guests commented on how amazing our first dance was and couldn’t believe how well he worked with the dj he hasn’t met before. I couldn’t have asked for more from him and certainly will remember his set forever. Thank you so much for making our evening so fun and having such an impact! You won’t regret booking Elliot.

Elliot did a sick job at my 30th birthday. He is able to play whatever song or genre you want him to and he was a really fun guy. Danced with everyone there but also a really good musician. Might get him down for my 31st birthday as well! Cheers mate!!
