Fronted by the effortlessly stylish Ellie Jones on vocals and rhythm guitar, the trio also features the masterful lead guitar of renowned Welsh jazz musician Gary Phillips and the swinging bass lines of virtuoso bassist Alun Vaughan. Ellie’s journey into jazz began in 2020, when the unusual circumstances of the pandemic allowed her to fast-track her learning. Seeking to refine her guitar skills, she took lessons from Gary, and as the world reopened, their shared passion for vintage jazz and Latin grooves led them to form the trio. Their extensive repertoire spans over 200 songs from the golden era of jazz (1920-1970), 50+ Christmas songs, 30+ Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish language latin songs, 10+ French language gypsy jazz style songs. This versatility allows them to tailor their performances to a wide range of themed events, including 1920s Gatsby nights, 1940s Revivals, Remembrance Sunday tributes, Latin fiestas, Christmas parties, and Great American Songbook showcases.
