Born in Scotland of Welsh parents, Elinor is a hybrid of two Celtic cultures. At 20 she won the Clarsach Society Young Composer award and in 2014 completed her degree in Traditional Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, going on to complete her Post Graduate Diploma in Composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2016 whilst also gaining her ARIAM (Teaching) diploma with honours in Dublin. She has competed successfully at the Royal National Mod and other festivals over the years and in 2015 won the prestigious Interceltique Trophée de Camac Harpe in Lorient, Brittany. She is now beginning her career as a freelance musician.
The instrumental playing is scintillating throughout, particularly that of Elinor Evans’ clarsach (her composition Journeys In Time is inspirational)
