Elinor Chambers is a trombone player from Birmingham. She started playing the trombone at the age of 8. She currently studies at the Guildhall School with Simon Wills, Chris Houlding, John Kenny and Emily White. She has also been taught by and taken part in masterclasses with many notable trombone players including: Julian Turner, Eric Crees, Simon Cowen, Robert Holliday, Edward Jones, Anthony Howe, Stefan Schulz, Olaf Ott, Dirk Ellerkamp, Mayumi Shimizu, Matthew Gee, Zoltan Kiss and Paul Milner. She has played at many prestigious venues including Symphony Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Bridgewater Hall, the Barbican, Cadogan Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Shakespeare's Globe and the Kurhaus, Wiesbaden. She enjoys performing solo as well as in a variety of chamber ensembles and is as happy in a pit band as she is in an early music group or a symphony orchestra.
